Prayer

As we look to the future, we are moved by the promise of 2 Chronicles 7:14 as it pertains to our village:

If my people, who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and forgive their sins and heal their land.

2 Chronicles 7:14

This passage speaks to the miles of houses, condos, and apartments that surround our church buildings and the stories behind every door. For many — if not most — the stories contain secrets, sins, loneliness, and even desperation. Our land is in need of healing.

We, then, as followers of Christ in Gurnee, want to call out with one voice and seek God’s face. We ask God to bring a spiritual awakening to our village that helps thousands of people discover Him in a way that transforms their lives forever. We encourage you to lift your voice and join the chorus of people who are asking God to do far more than we could ever hope or imagine.

God,
As one people, those who belong to your Church, we willingly humble ourselves before You and cry out with one voice. God, we need You! Our churches need You. Each of us needs You. Our community needs You. God, come and heal our land. Help those who do know You to live in the fullness of Your presence and purpose. Help all those who do not yet know You to experience the love, grace, joy, freedom, and wholeness that can only be found in You. God, come, forgive us our sins, and heal our land. It is in Your holy name we pray, Jesus.
